Nightwatch at The Museum
A routine night shift at an old Javanese museum. A fire from 1990 that nobody talks about. And something, or someone that refuses to let the truth stay buried.
このゲームについて
Nightwatch at the Museum is a first-person psychological horror game set in Indonesia, post-1990s Asian financial crisis. Work is rare, and you need it.
You play as Raja, a newly hired night guard at the Museum, a former Dutch colonial residence turned heritage site, named after a long-gone Javanese noble family whose history still lingers within its walls.
The job was supposed to be simple...?
The patrol is mandatory. So is the report. So is showing up the next night, and the night after that. Quitting isn't on the table. That's the job. That's all it is.
Then what you see no longer matches what you write down. There are burn marks nobody can explain, and the further you patrol, the less the official story holds together. You're not the first guard to start asking questions. The others aren’t here anymore.
And something… or someone, in this museum needs you to stay.
There are scorch marks in this museum that nobody can explain. The deeper into your shifts you get, the less the official story holds together. Nobody hands you the truth. You dig for it yourself, between patrols, in the details that don't add up. You aren't the first guard to start asking. The others don't work here anymore.
Slow-burn horror rooted in Java & Dutch Colonial vibes.
Cross into a distorted version of the building when you get too close to the and find your way back.
Your choices close the night. Your job, your conscience, your life. All three decide how it ends.
Investigate through logbooks, old newspapers, and labels that don't match the records.
