このゲームについて

IRSEN is a turn-based roguelite where you fight alone against coordinated enemy squads - progression does not come from traditional XP, gold, or gear.

Defeat enemy groups, extract their genes, rebuild your body, reshape your skills, and adapt your strategy during each run.

Every enemy group is a source of genetic material. After combat, you decide how to use what remains:

  • extract genes from defeated enemies;

  • preserve specimens for later processing;

  • combine genes into chains;

  • unlock active skills through gene chains;

  • reshape your build as new threats appear.

Your character does not level up in the usual way. Instead, you develop through the Gene Map: placing genes, forming chains, modifying skill properties, and changing your build during the run.

Corruption grows as you descend. Mutations can change your character, but full biological overload means death.

You are a single combatant facing squads that act like RPG parties. Enemies have different roles and support each other:

  • protecting allies;

  • drawing attacks away from vulnerable targets;

  • healing wounded units;

  • applying negative effects;

  • finishing off weakened targets.

Survival depends on target priority, skill timing, build adaptation, and understanding how the enemy squad works as a system.

IRSEN is built around adaptation. Each run gives you different genes, properties, mutations, and tactical problems.

In the standard mode, you can actively reshape your build during a run, moving skill properties and adjusting your strategy through the Gene Lab.

In Iron Will mode, skill properties remain random. You must build around what you find and survive with imperfect tools.

  • Turn-based battles against coordinated enemy squads.

  • Progression through enemy genes instead of traditional XP, gold, or gear.

  • Gene Map buildcraft: combine genes, form chains, and unlock active skills.

  • Build reshaping during a run through genes, properties, and the Gene Lab.

  • Procedurally generated sectors with tactical combat encounters.

  • Corruption, mutations, and the risk of biological overload.

  • Standard and Iron Will modes for controlled buildcraft or harsher adaptation.

IRSEN is a solo-developed project focused on tactical buildcraft, enemy synergy, and gene-driven progression.
